Terra or otherwise known as Luna in the crypto community was eclipsed by a huge crash. It was at one-time trading at more than $119. As of May 16, 2022, it is trading at below 1 cent. At around $0.0002-0.0003 to be exact. There have been conspiracy theories floating that the crash was engineered but I won't go into that.

Luna was a promising project. Sadly, it fell from grace in a matter of days, but what is sadder is the fact that a lot of investors were wiped out. Twitter was abuzz with people twitting that they lost everything. Some are saying that their situation is so dire that they will be homeless soon.

This is my first blog and before I share my experiences, I want you to remember investing in cryptocurrency is very risky. DO NOT invest money that you can't afford to lose. Any article you read on this site is not financial advice, but rather musings of a confused trader.

I too lost some money with the whole Terra (Luna) fiasco. I am sad, but since I managed my risk appropriately, it did not wreck me like a subcompact trying to show a train who is boss. Even if my whole crypto portfolio goes to zero, my family should still be fine.

I still have my savings which should cover our recurring bills for months. We still have our house and other investments outside the crypto space. I take NOT putting all your eggs in one basket seriously. I know that if a certain token goes to the moon, I will not be reaping the full benefits. Even if all my crypto holding goes to 100X, I still won't be able to afford a fancy yacht, but that is ok. This approach allows me to sleep without worries.

I am not saying that everybody should follow this approach. As they say, your mileage may vary. Do what you think is right based on your research. Do not invest, just because a random guy on the internet said so. You can try to shoot for the moon and that is OK. But before you do, it wouldn't hurt to have a parachute so you can try again in case you fail on your first try.

I hope you reach the moon.
